CWDM系统采用低成本、无须制冷的分布反馈(DFB)激光器,同时对波长复用/解复用器件的精度要求较低,而迷你型波分复用器(CCWDM)其准直器和滤波器焊在一个公共的基底上,基底由金属或玻璃构成,并且经过适当的环氧和固化处理。与三端口滤波器用光滑的封装表面进行连接的方式不同,迷你粗波分复用器CCWDM滤波器用粗糙的滤波器侧面进行连接,因此键合力要比三端口滤波器的大许多,这就有效地将反射光束的倾斜降到了最低。小型CWDM器件对温度的敏感性要低于三端口级联模块,因为其构造方式降低了反射光束的倾斜。CCWDM器件(迷你型波分复用器)其产品质量呈现很好的正态分布,同时制作过程的稳定性很好。北亿纤通提供轻巧型粗波分多路复用器(小型CWDM,MCWDM),显着提高光学性能,同时也降低了制造成本。这种小型CWDM模块,封装尺寸更小(仅火柴盒大小),同时性能和参数有着更卓越的表现。北亿纤通的所有CWDM模块符合Telcordia GR-1221-CORE。
